Building the momentum

I've been working on reworking further tracks and have hit upon "the sound" we've been trying to acheive for so long. Planned listening session on Monday to check arrangements, then it's time to track the vocals, as those recorded so far are not up to scratch - exciting times ahead!

Finally moving out of neutral....

Had a listening session yesterday to "sort the men from the boys". One overriding thing was the amount of bass - some tunes actually have three basslines at once interweaving - needless to say, it sounds immense.

The new drum sounds we're getting into the DAW - by layering several plug-ins and sampling the result. - are also impressive, and no longer have to be drenched in reverb to sound huge. Most excellent.

2011 - A new dawn

Things have been slow on the band front for a while, but are now starting to ramp up. Songs that were tracked last summer and left on the back burner are now coming into focus again following an upgrade of the studio software and plug-ins.

It is hoped that over the coming weeks, these tracks will see the light of day.

We will also endeavour to update the blog more regularly.
